Fans of Detroit high-energy rock’n’roll have reason to be excited!
Since forming in 1968, The Dogs have been true disciples of the high-energy Detroit sound and amassed a cult following after their 70’s classics “Slash Your Face” and “John Rock” were included on the legendary “Killed by Death” and “Bloodstains Across California” comps.
Now, Heavy Medication is very proud to reissue The Dogs’ killer 2nd full-length album for the first time ever on vinyl! This 2011 recording had been self-released by the band on CD only and sold mostly at their gigs, so it never reached the wider audience it deserved.
Believe us, “Hypersensitive” slays from start to finish, channeling the crash-and-burn power of The Stooges and MC5 (both of whom The Dogs shared stages with back in the day) with a modern spin. It features 11 originals (including a re-recording of their KBD classic track “Slash Your Face”) and a cover of The Pagans’ “Her Name was Jane”.
